Stanleyville Stables is pleased to announce the addition of our new resident trainer,
Autumn Humberston Grogan!

Autumn Humbertson Grogan/Four Seasons Eventing Autumn started riding at the age of 7. Her mom, realizing her dream (and the fact that she was terrible at all other sports she put her in!), granted her birthday wish and started her in riding lessons. The rest as they say, is history! Dabbling in hunt seat, dressage and even some barrel racing, Autumn finally found the perfect fit in eventing in 1996. This same year she enrolled at Virginia Intermont College where she competed on the intercollegiate dressage team & the international intercollegiate team (competing in Ireland, Switzerland & Algeria). At Virginia Intermont she received a B.S. in Equine Studies and then furthered her education at Milligan College receiving an M.S. in Occupational Therapy. Autumn currently has 3 horses: Fergie (Selle Francais/Appaloosa) her first event horse and long time partner of 16 years. Cash Bonanza (Thoroughbred), who was purchased off the race track in 2010 and is currently competing at training level. And Selahway David (Zweibrucker) who is just beginning his career under saddle. Autumn currently trains with Cathy Jones-Forsberg and Kara Andrew. She has also ridden in clinics with Karen O'Connor, Jimmy Wofford, Lucinda Green, Kim Severson & Doug Payne. Autumn teaches horses and riders of all levels in dressage and jumping. Her greatest passion is helping horses and riders build a better partnership no matter the skill level or discipline.
